Let’s Celebrate Summer!
Unleash your child’s inner adventurer this Summer at the YMCA! Dive into a world of fun with exciting activities like swimming, arts & crafts, sports, field trips, and nature exploration. Make new friends, build confidence, and create memories that will last a lifetime. From splashing in the pool to conquering the climbing wall, YMCA Summer Camp is the perfect place for kids to learn, grow, and thrive. Give them a summer they’ll never forget – register today!

At the Y, we seek to serve all. In this effort, we offer Financial Assistance in our programs to anyone that qualifies. To learn more, and/or apply for Financial Assistance, visit https://www.spartanburgymca.org/financial-assistance/.
To register your child for Summer Camp with Financial Assistance, please come to the YMCA and our staff are ready to assist. Space is limited so do not delay! Financial Assistance deadline is April 1st. After this, registration is not guaranteed due to limited space.
Pricing for Summer camp is per week/per child
$10.00 deposit for each week registered (due at time of registration)
$50.00 registration fee per camper due at registration for members and non-members.

Horseback Specialty Camp
HORSEBACK SPECIALTY CAMP AT MIDDLE TYGER!!
Middle Tyger YMCA is excited to partner with Idlehurst Ranch for our Horseback Specialty Camp!
What: Horseback summer camp that will focus on horseback riding and horsemanship!
When: June 9th-June13th, 2025 9am-12pm!
Where: Drop off at Middle Tyger YMCA from 7:00am-8:30am. We will transport the kids to and from Idlehurst Ranch. Kids will return by 12:30pm and stay the remainder of the day at Middle Tyger traditional camp. Idlehurst Ranch is located at 4279 SC-101, Woodruff, SC 29388.
Kids attending this camp will need to bring a bagged lunch!

Middle Tyger Traditional Camp
Let’s CELEBRATE Summer with these exciting weekly themes!
Week 1: May 27th – 30th Celebrate Community
- Campers will celebrate community this week by exploring the many local community organizations, such as animal shelters, First Responders, military branches, and get to participate in a Hands Only CPR class.
Week 2: June 2nd – 6th Celebrate Nature
- Campers will celebrate nature this week with hiking/outdoor education from experienced hiking and outdoor professionals. They will get to hike on our beautiful, local trails and visit local water falls and streams.
Week 3: June 9th – 13th Celebrate Curiosity
- Campers will celebrate curiosity through various different STEM projects and participate in STEM related field trips to explore many different science principles.
Week 4: June 16th – 20th Celebrate Transportation
- Campers will celebrate transportation this week with activities focused on transportation methods and a trip to the airport to learn about air travel.
Week 5: June 23rd- 27th-Celebrate Sportsmanship and Teamwork
- Campers will celebrate sportsmanship and teamwork through various team oriented activities this week. A field- trip to our rock climbing wall at our Willis Road location coupled with many other field day activities will help campers build character and work on their sportsmanship and teamwork.
Week 6: June 30th – July 3rd Celebrate Water!
- Campers will learn about animals through activities centered around animals and a trip to the zoo.
Week 7: July 7th – 11th Celebrate Pop Culture
- Campers will celebrate pop culture through various pop culture themed activities this week to include, disney day, marvel heroes day, and more!
Week 8: July 14th – 18th Celebrate Art
- Campers will celebrate art in all forms this week, from visual arts to theatre.
Week 9: July 21st – July 25th Celebrate Summer Fun!
- Campers will get to celebrate the greatest element of Summer…FUN! They will participate in typical summer outdoor water activities, such as water slides and water games and a trip to a local water park.
Week 10: July 28th – August 1st Celebrate Kindness
- Campers will learn about philanthropy and humanitarianism through community service activities.
Week 11: August 4th – 8th Celebrate Camp
- Campers will celebrate their Summer and the memories they’ve made at camp this Summer! Our last week of camp will feature activities from inflatables to snow cones to color runs, and much much more.

Pickleball Specialty Camp
Pickleball at the Willis Road YMCA!
Join us for our Pickleball Specialty Camp at the Y!
What: Pickleball Camp at the Y! Our Pickleball Coordinator will be teaching the kids strokes, scoring, and how to play Pickleball!
When: July 7th-11th- we will utilize the indoor tennis courts so weather will not be an issue!
Where: The Willis Road YMCA indoor tennis courts! Weather will not affect our camp! 501 Willis Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
