Coach Jeremiah Bellamy, owner and instructor of JB Athletic Arts, has been a practitioner of the martial arts for more than 20 years. He started training when he was 10 years old after consistently being bullied and having his clothes stolen from him after school. Martial Arts helped Coach Bellamy to learn how to stand up for himself and built his self-confidence to belief in who he was and what he was capable of. As he trained, he learned that he had the God given talent of learning and applying what he was being taught. Coach Bellamy has trained in more than seven styles of Martial Arts, as well as, stunt training. His background includes training in American Karate, Kajukenbo, Taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, Judo, Aikido, Tai Boxing, Kung fu, Krav Maga, and MMA. He Has been teaching for more than 15 years in self-defense training, sport karate training, and competitive weapons for tournaments. He has a black belt in Kajukenbo and American Karate. After his many years of training in different styles, Coach Bellamy believes that American Karate offers the best of both worlds when it comes to learning self-defense and sport karate. This is a style that encompasses a variety of other styles, and like our great country, American Karate is a melting pot for the Martial Arts.

As a Christian, Coach Bellamy believes in inspiring his students with the word of God as he sharpens their bodies through his training regimen and building up their minds and spirits with the word of God, words of wisdom, and words of encouragement. Standing on Joshua 1:9 and helping his students know to, “Be strong and of good courage, God is with them wherever they go” and that there are three that love them unconditionally, “God, their mother, and their father.” His goal is to always encourage and inspire his students to be their very best version of themselves, both in and out of the dojo.
