The YMCA of Greater Spartanburg, founded in 1869, has grown to serve more than 20,000 members in Spartanburg County, SC and Polk County, NC. Our mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. We believe everyone should feel welcome at the YMCA, regardless of their age, gender, race, religious preference, orientation, ethnicity or financial means. Income-based rates are offered on a sliding scale for programs and membership. The Y is open and welcoming to all and affordable for all.
